2025 Rivian R1T and R1S: More Motors, More Power
Redesigned Rivian R1S and R1T to Offer Tri-Motor Option
Up to 850 Horsepower and Improved Batteries
Rivian is refreshing the R1S and R1T for 2025, and the biggest change is the addition of a more powerful Tri-Motor model. This new configuration will produce up to 850 horsepower and 900 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful Rivian model yet. The Tri-Motor model will be offered on both the R1S SUV and R1T pickup truck.
In addition to the new Tri-Motor model, the 2025 R1S and R1T will also get improved batteries. The new batteries will have a higher energy density, which will allow for a longer range. Rivian has not yet released specific range figures, but it is expected that the new batteries will provide a significant improvement over the current models.
Other changes to the 2025 R1S and R1T include updated styling, a new interior, and a new infotainment system. Rivian has not yet released full details on these changes, but they are expected to be minor. The 2025 Rivian R1S and R1T are expected to go on sale in late 2024. Pricing has not yet been announced, but it is expected to start around $70,000.
